Tips to repairing summer hair damage

Now that fall is upon is, it’s time to undo any hair damage from spending all day under the hot summer sun and swimming for endless hours in the water. Give your hair a break and follow these simple tips to repairing any summer holiday damage

1.Rinse with cool water

After a good hair wash with Natural Shampoo & Natural Conditioner, make the last rinse of the shower with cool water. This will seal up the hair cuticles thus preventing any hairloss. If you wanna go the extra mile, use a jar of drinking water as the last rinse of the shower for an extra kick of shine!

2. Stick to sulfate-free shampoo

Sulphate is a common ingredient in Shampoo which is known to strip the hair of its natural & beneficial oils, and can cause unwanted frizz. So, stick to Sulphate-free Shampoo. Our new Hair Care Line is Sulphate, Silicone, & Paraben free

3. Get a trim

Start fresh and trim the ends. Hair damage usually results in split ends and if they’re not chopped off then they will only keep getting worse. So invest in a good trim and if you are consistent with taking care of your hair, those gorgeous locks will grow back in no time!

4. Use Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is commonly used on the skin, but it’s hair-repairing effects work wonders on hair too! Benefits include:

  • Strengthening the hair strands
  • Promoting hair growth
  • Calming scalp itchiness
  • Deep cleaning oily hair

If your hair & scalp is sun-damaged, apply our Aloe Vera Hairmask to both and let it sit for a good while and revive your hair!

5. Avoid ponytails

Wearing your hair down as much as possible will prevent the additional breakage. This is because a hairband can pull the hairs causing breakage and strain. If you prefer tying your hair back, make sure it’s not tight and stick to a satin scrunchie or the coil type:
