7 Essential tips for Summer Hair Care

Summer doesn't have to be the season of bad hair days. With some extra care, your hair can look great on the steamiest days. Learn how to protect your hair from the heat, sun, and humidity without turning it into an endless hassle.

1-Start summer with a trim

You'll get rid of split ends and refresh your style. Also Hair really does grow faster in the summer so it’s the best time to cut your hair.

2- Limit the use of heat on your hair

Heat is very harmful to your hair. It increases the hair porosity and hence causes the hair to become brittle, weak and frizzy. You can use a heat protectant, like Argan oil before using the dryer or the straightener and always use heat when your hair is half wet not completely wet. After shower you can Braid your hair for a naturally wavy style, make a bun or use a headband to get a different look.

3-Cut off Sulfate, Silicone and Paraben

Start using natural shampoos & conditioners ( Sulfate, Silicone and Paraben Free) instead of the ones with lots of chemicals.

4-Wash less often

Frequent washing strips your scalp of its natural oils, which in turn stimulates additional oil production and makes you feel the need to wash it even more. So wash your hair with natural shampoo only twice a week.

5-Use Anti-Frizz Serum

Put a few drops of Argan Oil or Light Miracle Oil or apply a small amount of Coco-Shea hair mask on wet hair after shower to tame your frizzy hair and moisturize it. They actually act as natural anti-frizz serum which is the best for your hair.

6-Deep Conditioner is your best friend

Deep Conditioners and Hair masks are very important especially in the summer. Make sure to apply a suitable hair mask twice a week to restore moisture and maintain hydration on the hottest days. Also you can apply them as protectants before swimming or on the beach, as they also have natural SPF.

7-Drink Water

Last but not least, Don’t forget to drink water, it’s a natural moisturizer for your hair, skin and your whole body.
