Weekly Nourishing Hair Routine

Weekly Nourishing Hair Routine

A weekly hair routine is highly recommended for anyone trying to nourish and revive their hair from previous damage. To bring back those bouncy locks you remember rockin' as a kid, it’s important to follow a strict weekly hair routine and be as consistent as possible.

Keep in mind:

  • Less is more - doing this hair routine more than twice a week can do more damage than good
  • Trial & error - everybody’s hair is different so it will take a while for you to learn what your hair needs.
  1. Hair mask

Brush your hair and apply a hair mask all over your hair and let it sit for a minimum of 30 minutes. You can apply it on damp hair, or dry hair. For maximum effect wrap a damp, hot towel around your head to open up your pores and let the hair mask bring moisture back to your roots. Our Argan & Shea Hair Mask will bring the strength back to your locks and fix your split ends. 1. Washing

Thoroughly wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner and make sure no hair mask remains. Our Natural Shampoo and Natural Conditioner will do the trick while still keeping in the moisture and nutrients, especially being sulphate and silicone free.

Note: as much as we all love a hot shower, try to stick to lukewarm water when washing your hair as hot water opens your pores which can cause your hair strands to easily fall out.

Because of the dry weather in the summertime, it’s advised to wash your hair every 3-4 days in order to avoid dry hair, especially after swimming – sea salt and chlorine can be very damaging to your strands.

  1. Rinsing with filtered water (optional)

Once you’ve shampooed and conditioned, use filtered cool water as a final rinse on your hair. This will wash away any excess dirt and give your hair extra shine. Bring a jar of filtered water in the shower with you for easy use, flip your hair forward, and rinse away.

  1. Brushing

You’ve got to be extra cautious when brushing your hair after the shower as wet hair is very fragile. Detangle your hair using a wide-toothed comb by brushing the ends first and working your way up.

  1. Styling

You know your hair the best, you could braid it for wavy hair, leave it in a tight bun for straight hair, or use rollers for curly hair. Our Natural Leave-in Conditioner will tame that frizz while still giving your hair a beautiful and healthy texture.
