The International day of Love is here! But if you are flying solo this Valentine’s day, then take this as a chance to pamper yourself with some much needed self-love.  Here are a few tips to keep you radiant and in a good mood for Valentine’s. Better yet – keep these habits up for a healthy lifestyle. 

 

  1. Wake up and stretch it out

Stretching first thing in the morning will relieve your body of any tension and pain in the muscles from sleeping the night before, preparing your body for the day. It also increases blood flow which will wake you up and remove the morning puffiness in your eyes.

Note: Stretching before bed will relax your muscles, reducing the tension for the next morning

 

  1. Healthy breakfast

It’s true what they say – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! More importantly, making sure to eat protein for breakfast is essential. It will give you energy throughout the day, fill you up so you won’t have to result in unhealthy snacking, and nourish your skin, hair, and nails.

 

  1. Relax & Meditate

Learning to enjoy your own company is a good thing. Taking at least a few minutes out of your day just for yourself will calm your nerves and help you relax. You could take a power nap, read a good book, or sit in a garden and absorb the nature around you. Some would turn to meditation which is perfect for when you need to de-stress and enhance self-awareness.

  1. Exfoliate + Shower
