Winter Foot Care
Have you noticed your feet drying up more in the winter? Besides the cold temperatures keeping your feet in thick socks and boots all the time dries them up even more, which can lead to dry, cracked heels. And just because they’re hidden doesn’t mean they shouldn’t look pretty! Here’s a few tips to keep them soft throughout the season.
- Take a break from the nail polish
Regularly removing your nail polish and applying a fresh coat can keep your toenails healthy.
Once or twice a week take time to use Joviality Dead Sea Salt Foot Scrub in a circular motion to exfoliate your feet. This removes the dead skin cells and reduces calluses (the thick skin that forms on your heels due to friction). The minerals in the Dead Sea Salt increase circulation to the feet and help keep them rejuvenated and soft.
Right after the shower is a great time to apply Joviality Shea Butter Foot Balm. It locks the moisture in and helps to heal dry heels. The Cool Peppermint formula smells great but also has strong healing properties.
- Choose the right socks
Socks made of blended materials are designed to retain shock absorption qualities and remove wetness away from your skin. 100% cotton socks keep moisture near your feet, and dry slowly, which can lead to blisters.
- Let them breathe
Make sure your feet are not in socks all the time. Allow them to breathe by being barefoot and stretching them in a natural position.
